Lead Member, Technical Staff, Small Cell Platforms, AT&T
Prabhakar Chitrapu has extensive background in Telecommunications Industry and Academia. He is presently a Lead MTS at AT&T, where his responsibilities include Architecture & Evolution of AT&T's Small Cell Platform. In particular, he is focused on Enterprise Small Cell Deployment, Small Cell and Wi-Fi/Unlicensed-Spectrum integration, HetNet architecture and Virtualization. Previously, he worked at InterDigital, Lockheed-Martin, Dialogic (now part of Intel) and Drexel University. Over the years, Prabhakar has been active in various Industry Forums. Currently he has several leadership positions in the Small Cell Forum, including Chair of the Network working group, Lead of the Security Task Force and WBA collaboration. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Villanova University, where he teaches graduate courses on Signal Processing and Communications. Prabhakar received his PhD from Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands in Electrical Engineering. He holds several patents, research publications and a book (Wideband TDD).
